The Rusty Players Orchestra Showcase

Come on down to Halesowen Town Hall on Saturday 20th April 2024 for a must-see performance from The Rusty Players Orchestra (UK). This massed concert features an orchestra made up of Rusty groups in Birmingham, Barry Island, Carmarthen, and The Black Country. Get ready for what is bound to be an energy packed performance from these mighty musicians.

The concert will include music from the screen, TV and pop – so there is sure to be something for everyone! The music from Doctor Who, A Star is Born, Coldplay and Alice in Wonderland to name a few.

Beginning in 2019, The Rusty Players Orchestra had its first ensemble in Birmingham, providing professional leadership and performance opportunities for musicians who ‘felt a little rusty.’

Rusty’s is for musicians who haven’t played their instruments for some time, are starting out or simply lack confidence and are looking to get back into playing. Musicians are encouraged to make as many mistakes as they need to in rehearsals and the emphasis is on having fun and community spirit. This low-pressure environment allows for members to flourish, build on their skills instead of aiming for perfection.

Due to its success, The Rusty Players Orchestra now has four groups across the UK and more will be opening soon.
