Asset Transfer guides for sport
Locality has teamed up with the Football Association to produce a guide to help clubs take on facilities from statutory organisations, like local authorities.

Sport England reveals investment plans for 46 sports

Sporting Equals
Birmingham-based charity, Sporting Equals, works to increase participation in sport by communities that are disengaged, especially the black and minority ethnic population.
Sporting Equals works with sports providers (from national governing bodies to sports clubs) to community and faith groups and individuals in order to promote participation in sport.

Funding: Guide to funding opportunities that support coaching
Sports Coach UK, England Coaching Network and SkillsActive have produced a guide to funding opportunities that support coaching (training fees, equipment, etc.). The guide is categorised into national and regional funders for ease of use and is available for free download from: 


Funding: Sport England: Community Sport Activation Fund
A fund designed to get local people aged 14+ into sport by providing funding for up to 3 years to organisations working in partnership.
Size of grant available: £50,000-£250,000 – partnership funding of at least one-third of amount requested is required.
Projects the programme will fund include:
• Activities reflecting a broad range of sports
• Informal ‘try-it-out’ opportunities which could lead to regular participation
• Multi-sport activities which provide people with a range of choices and opportunities to suit them
• Family orientated activities with a focus on 14 plus age group
• Local activator roles that focus on directly organising and delivering new opportunities for participation.
Next round: Opens on 7 May 2013 and closes on 1 July 2013, with 3 further rounds until June 2015.

Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2013
Sports clubs can win prizes of up to £2,000 in this year’s Community Sport and Recreation Awards. The Sport and Recreation Alliance is looking for nominations (which need to be endorsed by the national governing body) for deserving sports clubs across 6 categories, including Volunteer Management and Green Thinking.
