Our strategic objectives

To develop a high quality and pro-active voluntary sector for the benefit of the
residents of the Dudley Borough by positively engaging partners in support of
voluntary activity

date

Last year (2012) the BIG Lottery announced a new fund aimed at working alongside and supporting young people aged 18-24, who have been NEET (Not in employment, education or training) for at least 12 months.  The fund is aimed at those young people that are furthest from the workplace, helping them to move towards and into employment.

As part of this national programme an “indicative allocation” of £9.5M was made to the Black Country (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton.) It was agreed by Black Country partners to appoint Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council (WVSC) as the lead organisation for the Black Country Talent Match bid.

A "where we are at" update has been produced by WVSC for the benefit of the local Voluntary and Community Sector. Click below.
