Our strategic objectives

To develop a high quality and pro-active voluntary sector for the benefit of the
residents of the Dudley Borough by positively engaging partners in support of
voluntary activity

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust provides a wide range of integrated mental health services to children, adults and older people across the boroughs of Dudley and Walsall.

Several members of the Mental Health Team recently gave up their Saturday morning to present a workshop to representatives of local faith groups at the Claughton Centre in Dudley. The team explained in clear terms the various types of mental illness, highlighting the situations where outside help is needed and demonstrating examples of how self-help can potentially be a good plan.

Faith groups are very much aware of the different mental health pressures and influences that impact within their communities. However, a common thread across all was the belief that when statutory services pack up and go home for the day, faith groups very often pick up the pieces, offering care, patience, love and support to people with mental health issues and their families.

The Mental Health Team is happy to deliver similar workshops to faith groups or provide one-to one support. For further information call the Community Development Workers at the Mental Health Partnership: 07766 420098 or 07766 252782
