Our strategic objectives

To develop a high quality and pro-active voluntary sector for the benefit of the
residents of the Dudley Borough by positively engaging partners in support of
voluntary activity

If you live, work or volunteer in Dudley borough, have a desire to support people to help each other, and have some energy to help make things happen, then this training is for you! The training will cover the principles, approaches and practical methods of community asset mapping – an approach used to understand, utilise and build on the incredible supply of assets and resources which exist within our local communities in order to increase community resilience. The training is participatory and will provide examples of real pieces of work carried out by people in similar communities to those in Dudley borough. You will be able to share experiences, explore ideas, test new approaches and create plans for your own community asset mapping activities.

Paid staff are encouraged to attend with at least one other colleague and a few volunteers or residents. This will ensure that you have some support and can work as a small team to carry out your own community asset mapping activities following the training. There will be some resources and small amounts of funding available to support with this if required.
