Dudley MBC is now out to public consultation on the Review of Dudley’s Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) and the Review of the Parking Standards Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). Both documents form part of the Council’s local plan.

Consultation on the Review of Dudley’s Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) - 8 weeks

The Statement of Community Involvement provides a framework as to how, who with and when the Council consult on planning applications and planning policy documents. The SCI was originally published in 2006 and is now being reviewed and updated.

The formal public consultation stage runs for a period of 8 weeks from Monday 3rd October to Monday 28th November 2016.

The SCI is being reviewed in line with good practice and to ensure the guidance remains consistent and relevant in the local context.

Copies of the draft SCI are available to view in all Dudley Council main libraries, 4 Ednam Road reception and Dudley Council Plus (please ask at the Reception desks).

The draft SCI is also available to view and download from the following Council webpage http://tinyurl.com/j59apym.

Comments on the draft review can be submitted via email to localplan@dudley.gov.uk or via post to Place Directorate, Council House, Priory Road, Dudley DY1 1HF by Monday 28th November 2016.

Any representations received during the consultation period will be considered and, where appropriate, incorporated into the final SCI. Adoption is anticipated early in 2017.

Consultation on the Review of the Parking Standards Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) - 6 weeks

The Parking Standards SPD was last published in 2012 and is being reviewed In line with good practice and to ensure the guidance remains consistent and relevant in the local context.

This review focuses on the adjustment of car parking standards for residential schemes to ensure schemes are deliverable, deliver well designed parking layouts and secure an appropriate level of parking on residential developments.

The formal public consultation stage runs for a period of 6 weeks from Monday 3rd October toMonday 14th November 2016.

Copies of the draft SPD are available to view in all Dudley Council main libraries, 4 Ednam Road reception and Dudley Council Plus (please ask at the Reception desks).
